Anne Rice, Academic Life Coach
When my son joined Texas A&M Corps of Cadets in the fall of 2016 as a nuclear engineering major, he quickly learned that the study habits he had as a high-achieving high school student weren’t very applicable to college. He no longer benefitted from parental supervision, personal teacher interaction, and the individual guidance he’d been accustomed to. I began working with him to build his time management process and deal with the overwhelming combination of his military obligations and his academics. Word passed to other Corps of Cadet students about his success and my business of Academic Life Coaching began.
Since that first year, I have continued to receive my own continued education on coaching students toward their best college life. Although I specialize in Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and non-Corps engineering students, I have helped many young men and women in other disciplines at other colleges. Challenges are experienced in all academic settings from community colleges to the largest of universities.
I am a mother of two very successful adult children. I have a marketing degree from Auburn University (War Eagle!) but I have a special place in my heart for TAMU students (whoop!). I’ve been married for 29 years and live in Flower Mound, Texas. I adore each and every student (over 100) that I’ve ever worked with and I am invested in their success.
I would enjoy meeting with you to discuss your unique challenges. Contact me for a consultation and learn more.
